The funny thing is, ALL of the titles are actually PICTURED on the display, so if your store has the actual cardboard display, the proof is there.

It is barebones, but it's a great movie IMO. Can't remember how the PQ/AQ is. I watched it too long ago. But I liked this movie enough to pay twice as much for it a few years ago...

Really awful.

I hate anaglyphic 3D anyway, but it looked terrible on this movie. Also, the "green" on the glasses that came in the package didn't completely match the "green" in the movie, so there was a faint ghost around the figures. My TV was/is properly calibrated, and no amount of tweaking could get an exact match.

Still worth $6, though. I paid $10 for it back around Christmas '09. Price-matched it at Target to $15 from a Best Buy ad, then used one of those great $5 coupons they had.

Thanks for the info.

I got Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief for $12.00. There is more Fox BDs there. About 10 in all. All have a code for movie cash to see the new movie Rio which will be in theaters April 15th.

I saw:
Ice Age 1, 2, 3
Horton Hears a Who
Marmaduke
Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief
Aliens in the Attic

Saw "Teen Wolf" at one of my local Walmarts yesterday for $10, but really have no interest in it. Went to another local Walmart, and no sign of it. I wish Walmarts weren't so inconsistent.

Finally found Stand By Me earlier tonight. I also picked up The Cable Guy for $13 and My Bloody Valentine 3D for $6. Wal-Mart is quickly becoming one of my favorite BD buying destinations.

My Wal-Mart didn't have Teen Wolf either, so I streamed it on Netflix (in HD!) instead. Now I have no interest in owning it on Blu-ray. So thanks Wal-Mart...lol.

Still want Nimh.

For what it's worth. I looked for NIMH on Tuesday and one of the associates offered to help (I know, I just about fell over) and she punched it into their system and the record showed a phrase like "Not In Stores". I'm taking that to mean Wal-mart isn't going to stock it.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned but I noticed a Kill Bill 1 and 2 shrink wrapped together for $24.96 today. That's not a bad price I think those are typically still $20 or so each for some reason.

I wish I could find a copy of The Cable Guy. It seems that none of the other B&M stores are carrying it and the online prices are less than tempting.

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

All of these are probably previously reported but last Sunday, I picked up Percy Jackson for $12 (it had the Rio Movie Money), Fletch for $8 and Cutthroat Island for $6. The $6 dollar titles weren't even marked at all. They had them on the back of one of the aisles all sitting there in racks but no prices. Like they were almost trying to hide them. Only from reading here did I know that they should have been $6.

I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago in the HD forum but it probably ought to be listed here as well:

Walmart has several "exclusive" BD releases listed for May 24 and available for pre-order:

Quigley Down Under (Blu-ray) (Exclusive) (Pre-order 5/24) $9.86 [$16.99 MSRP]

The Big Country (Blu-ray) (Exclusive) (Pre-order 5/24) $9.86 [$16.99 MSRP]

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I bought Secret of Nimh, and All Dogs go to Heaven (w/Rio cash) back at the end of March they had a fixture in the middle of Electronics that had a $10 BD side including Teen Wolf.

Yesterday I noticed the Fox $12 titles with the Rio cash including all of the ones mentioned, plus Night at the Museum and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. I also noticed the DVD versions have "up to 7.50" admission, while the blu-rays are "up to $10.00" Rio movie cash.

While looking for The Incredibles, I found The Box blu-ray for $5. It had a "promo" sticker on it, so I'm guessing it's left from Black Friday (?)

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

A couple of other random deals to be had at Wal-Mart. Picked up Die Hard and Big Trouble in Little China for $10 each today. China is currently $20 at Target and both titles are $15+ on Amazon.

A bunch of $10 titles that were new to my store (seemingly just tossed atop a tall display that a customer standing next to me couldn't even see into): Romancing the Stone, XXX, Thelma and Louise, Teen Wolf, Terminator, Office Space, Die Hard, 28 Days Later, and a few others.

Yes. With Quigley getting released, I can finally sell my Quigley/Rob Roy 2-disc dvd set. One of Selleck's better movies to me.
