The best way to get people to buy Super would be to offer it as a low blind buy purchase right at release. Here's my review.

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

We got a phone call around 2:30 today, and GUESS WHO IT WAS?

Amelia (Earhart)!

...and she said the Magic Words...

'We found your order!'

WELL, YEE-HAW & HEE-HAW!

(She said it was under a pallet of all places.)

She went on to say that she could ship it out Tuesday, but we said, 'NO WAY! We're comin' to pick it up RIGHT NOW!'

So we left the house, got on the 101 freeway and headed to Rosco & Van Nuys Blvd in the valley. Traffic was unbelieveably good and we made it there and back in a little over an hour. THAT'S UNBELIEVEABLE! Holiday weekend or not, that's great time. (Well, maybe going 85 MPH had something to do with it. )

So here I am...rolling naked back and forth over all my new Blu-ray bounty!

I'm a Happy Man, once again.

All the 7/5 release Walmart exclusive titles are at a $10 price — same as the pre-order price for most of them — and can now be ordered for "Site to Store" delivery with no shipping charge:

A Fish Called Wanda
It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Legally Blonde
Throw Momma From The Train
When Harry Met Sally

There's a new display I noticed at my Super Center. I think it's called Family Hits or something like that. It's only 1 side and it's mixed with dvds. National Treasure combo pack was one of the titles, for $15.

Yeah, I saw that today. I picked up Big for 10 bucks. It has the extended and theatrical cut. Plus some other older titles. Ranging from 10.00 up to 20.00 dollars. I also picked up Enemy of the state for $15. They had Armageddon there which i wanted, but didn't wanna pay $20 dollars for it.

I was able to grab Moulin Rouge for $9 today. WM has it for $12 and I used a $3 off coupon.

Went to Wally World last night and unfortunately they didn't have anymore copies of Mad Mad Mad World. But, I did get A Fish Called Wanda, When Harry Met Sally, Throw Momma from the Train, and 61* for $10/each.

I'm very happy to finally get It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World on blu-ray. Watching it on cable in hi-def really got me wanting it. I'll have to order Dollhouse Season 2. That's a terrific price.

You're very lucky if you found it in store. I've gone to pretty much all the Wal-Marts around me and it is the only exclusive that is ever sold out. Finally, caved and ordered ship to store on the site. The estimate they gave me is the week of 7/25.

Had to order mine online BUT going to use the 5 off sticker when I pick it up in store to get the best deal possible. Just saw the VHS version of it last night and there's almost 25 minutes more footage to it, if you can find that or the LD version.

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I've also seen Walmart.com has Dead Alive preordered for 10.00

It seems their site has alot more sales on either new releases or preorders then their regular site. That kinda annoys me somethings. And they said they won't match their own site most of the time. Even though they be getting money no matter what.

I saw some sort of preorder for the original Crow on blu-ray too, only the cover art is obviously a foreign version. Can't seem to find any info on an American release, though.

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Looks like there's a new display popping up starting tomorrow for $15 blu rays. My store had the blue display units up with a list of the titles.

I managed to take a photo and here's what I can make out.

Black Sheep/Tommy Boy
Chicago
Dances With Wolves
Fiddler On The Roof
Hard Candy
The Boy With Striped Pajamas
Clerks
Defiance
Heartbreak Ridge
Brothers Grimm
Cloverfield
Donnie Darko (not sure what version)
Gettysburg
Hero
Bulletproof Monk

To me they don't seem to be the best prices, but there ya go

Yeah, $15 seems pretty high for that group of titles. Thanks for the info though.

Seems more like 5 dollar titles, then 15 dollars to me.

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

$15 is definitely too expensive for these individual titles. If they are all double-packs (like the first one) then it's an OK deal if you want both. DWW was $15 when it was released, as I recall, plus there was a $3 or $5 mfg. coupon on it.

Yeah I am with MovieFanatic on this one. These seem to be $5 (or maybe $7) dollar titles not $15. If they do happen to be the cheaper option, I would gladly pickup a couple of these like Chicago and Brother's Grimm.

I'll chime in as well, there is not a single one on the list that I will buy at that price. If that was the Heartbreak Ridge/Firefox double feature, I MIGHT have considered it.
