Remote Hack?

I aplied the remote hack to my samsung dvd 511, and it works great, but im afraid it may cause damage to my player, is this right? or is it BS?

What is a remote hack? I never heard of that.

It's a trick whit your remote where you push some buttons in order to make your player region free.

Check out http://www.709online.co.uk/ for the hack and all details. Works fine on my 709 and 511, even RCE disc's, (but will not disable macrovision on the 511 ).

Macrovision is the technology that will not allow you to tape DVD's. If you hook your DVD player into your VCD and try to tape it, you get bad picture and sound. Things like picture fading in and out, etc.. That's Macrovision
