I am replacing my reciever that I got from CC in a few days and I need some help picking another good reciever. I had the Onkyo 575 ( the first one ) and I liked it, but the one I had broke down alot. I am including a link form CC's website, can you guys help me pick one? I want to spen around 500 dollars, but I can go a little more if it is worth it.
The reason I have to stay with CC, is because they are giving me a credit for my Onkyo reciever.

I work at CC and I ask all the sales people what reciever they would buy and they all picked Onkyo over Harmon Kardon because Onkyo has the best sound quality at high volume. Purchase a onkyo reciever in your range.

I think in buying a receiver today you need to ask yourself how many optical inputs do you need and will likely need.
DVD
CD
MD
PS2
Sat
Digital TV recorder
etc
Looking at what Circuit City offers I'd go with the Sony STRDE945
I have a Sony STR-DA555ES and am extremely happy witht he exception of no 6.1, no component video switching and only 4 optical inputs
I think you'd be happy with that Sony though
no its not a Harmon Kardon but look at all you get for your momey and unless you have other top equiptment, especialy speakers you won't notice the difference between receivers.

Thanks alot. I am most likly going to get the Onkyo 575X. This will be an upgrade from the Onkyo 575 that I'm replacing.
I am not sure if you would call my high end or not, I have a Onkyo 6-disc changer and all my speakers are Cambridge Soundworks.

Could someone point out the differences in the Onkyo 575 and the Kenwood VR410?
