Take a look at what it has to offer: 100 x5, DTS/DD5.1, S-Video, all the usual bells and whistles, PLUS Component Video switching ...ALL for less than $300...!?

Is this too good to be true?? Does anyone here have one??

For that kinda money, I wouldn't mind snaggin' one.

Sure, it's not the top of the line brand, but these day's electronics aren't nearly as poorly put together as they were several years ago IMHO.

I have the JVC RX 7000BK

and I couldnt be happier.. all of the bells and whistles is a appropriate description!

I'm not sure of the advantages of the 8010 over the 7000...heck if the 7000 is chepaer for you, go out and get it! No component video though...just s-video

Just saw this listed at ecost yesterday and have been trying to find out more about it. Says it has a front mounted USB port, but I can't figure out how it works with a computer. I can't find any more info on the JVC website.
It also has an LCD remote, would like to see what it looks like.

I have the RX 7000BK also and LOVE it, again I am not sure the advantage of the 8010 either but I know the 7000 is great in the DSP mode it really make those Mono movies sound fantastic!! The simulate surround is great, so much so that I don't care if a movie is in mono anymore because of the feature. I do know the 7000 is cheaper yet...

I purchased the JVC RX 8000 VBK and i love it, it has features to spare, everything you mentioned and then some. Here's the kicker, http://www.lgdsuperstore.com has it for 268.89. It's price any where else is 400.00 also sears is willing to match the price. It's definately worth looking into, but I'd see if it's in stock and if they'll match the site before you give them the price one guy tried to screw me. Hope the information helps.

we are still talking about the "cant find info on it anwhere but here" 8010 right?

The 8000 is a tiny upgrade from the 7000, like banana plugs on all it's speaker terminals, and a front a/v svideo input... that's all...

the 8010 we are talking about has little to 0 info out there on it, and it has a slew of new features including composite video..

(this is according to the ad)
