I'm definitely going and looking forward to it. Last year it was pretty lame with Sony, MS and Nintendo not really showing a whole, which is understandable as it was early days for most of them WRT their new consoles, but dissapointing none the less.
I'm hoping that MS and Nintendo will show a lot of stuff WRT their respective new consoles. And hopefully Sony will have alot more good stuff for the PS2.
In any case it should be fun and I am looking forward to it.:)

my understanding is that it's a trade show for professionals only:
from the site:
Is the show open to the public?
No, E3 is a trade event and only professionals from the industry will be allowed to attend.

No. You have to be either a part of the press, a part of the industry, or a retailer that deals with games. It is not open to the public.

If I have a general business license for arcade games would that be enough to get in you think? I mean, I'm the CEO of Ctown Games....or something like that.

As long as you have some part in video games where you work, you can go. When i worked at blockbuster, you were able to get passes, the only thing is you have to register before hand or get passes through employer.
By he way. wasn't deftones going to hook me up for the show??
So if you are part of video games in any general field of your work, you can go. it is not open to the public, but they have ways of getting in. the only real big thing is the conferences. My buddy started SUB-MATRIX, a lan place that is in the works of opening, and he gets full passes to all the conferences if he wishes to sign up for them.
As long as you have some sort of video game related job, you can sign up for passes.

yes, silly rabbit. i have everyone's info to send it. it's just a pain in the ass because at E3 you can't register through the web like other trade shows. i have to fax in a sheet filled in with your info.
