Saw these over on UBid - anybody used these things/own them? Experiences? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Roy,
My friends and I tried these things out when they first came out and were really disappointed. The picture was extremely "average" looking at best. They were cumbersome to use. And none of us got the sense we watching a big screen TV like they claimed.

Considering the cost, we didn't feel they were worth investing in.

Just my two cents worth...

I have no experience with them but the idea intrigues me. Do you think that something like this will ever become the standard?

I just want my holodeck NOW!

One of the biggest wastes of money that Sony has ever produced. The A/V chain I work for used to carry glasses like these from a cheap no-name brand. It was a cool idea, but they needed a lot of work. When I heard about the Sony, I figured they would be pretty sweet, but they turned out to be worse. Horrible picture quality, and plus there is the issue that studies show that 1 in 10 people can't handle it and end up getting nauseated and vomit. Cool huh?
