Where can I find a LD player in Canada?

Hi,

Just got a bunch of LD's, and I can't even watch them, since I don't have a machine. Tried my luck in pawnshops, but to no avail. I'm in Ottawa, Canada, not in the U.S., and I'd rather not try e-bay, because of high shipping and duty costs. Any ideas? Thanks

You might want to try a newsboard like tor.forsale. Or even ebay.ca and look for somebody in Canada to save on the duty.

You can always call around to local stores.. The Leons here (Thunder Bay, Ontario) still has one sitting around.. They want close to the original retail value though... When I was last in Calgary a few of the "local" video rental stores had them for sale (they used to rent them)...
