Slumbering Fist

Well, Tai Seng takes a great title and mucks up the DVD. This is one of the worst DVDs i own. Basically it appears that they made no effort whatsoever to produce the disc, as it looks no better than the vhs, a really big disappointment. Its extremely soft, spotty, less than great audio, not framed properly just like the vhs so the subs are cut off when a character is being long winded, and it is gray, gray, gray. I would advise any HK film fan to avoid this DVD, unless they have a big chunk of disposable income and just dont care. This is the kind of DVD that will make all the Columbia/Tri Star Once Upon a Time in China complainers heads explode, because the Columbia OUATIC disc looks like a pristine masterpiece compared to this. It is a crying shame.

On the plus side, the DVD has a trailer for Dragon Inn that looks fairly good, so one cant help but cross their fingers and hope that Dragon Inn will get better treatment. i’ve got it pre-ordered anyway, and i love Dragon Inn too much to not have a little glimmer of hope.

At least it wasnt $49.99 like Tai Seng old prices, but at the most, they should only be charging $5 bucks for this kind of insulting quality. $17.?? pre-ordered and even with a coupon it was a waste of my money.
