The DVD is WS and has a commentary. Not to mention the DVD should outlast your video, esp if you watch it alot.

DVD gives the movie a whole new experience. Sound and picture is way better, also mentioned before that its in Widescreen format. A DVD that should be in your collection.

I loved the movie and great directorial debut of Mel Gibson (if I am correct about the count). Personally think much better than Patriot

Doing a search would have brought up the following thread. A better idea then starting a new one.

Sorry to tell you that some parts of the movie is censored! Such as when Murron is being executed, the studio censored it as the throat was being slit! I watched it 2 years ago in LD version. But, who cares, it is being censored! I don't care! Nice video transfer, Great 5.1! Great audio commentary (gotta listen to that when you are going to watch it for the 2nd time!!), AVERAGE EXTRAS (2 Theateratical trailer, Making of Braveheart!)

I will rate the film :

Story: 5/5
Video: 5/5
Audio: 5/5
Extras: 2/5
Overall: 5/5 (Not an average score!)

Buy it now! Don't read the next line :-)
Buy later!

I consider this to be one of those "must have" discs. It's an awesome movie.

To the person who posted about the movie being censored: Do you mean before the movie went into theatrical release?
