Anyone have this classic and can ya tell me how good the quality is, and what extras there might be?
I heard it was just mono for sound though
Are they planning to redo this one with like DTS or something?

Unless you absolutely can't live without it, I'd pass for now.
The transfer is full-frame (previous laserdisc was widescreen) and the picture quality is not great. No extras at all.
It may not be for a year or two, but I fully expect that this is a title that will be reissued down the road.

I agree with bboisvert. It was a very early release (or at least I think so considering how little effort went into this release quality wise).
It is one of my Christmas time favorites.

Avoid it like the plague. Even on a small screen the shimmering effect will drive you nuts. I'm sticking with my widescreen VHS copy that I taped off TCM last year.
