I noticed that Circuit City has the movie "Showdown in Little Tokyo" on DVD for just $10. I am a sucker for a bargain. But, I have never seen the movie. Is it any good? I tend to like cheesy movies. I like both Dolph Lungren and Brandon Lee as actors (and liked the very cheesy "The Punisher" movie with the former).

All opinions appreciated.

From what I remember it was decent. I thought it was better than the punisher

Not a great movie, but if you like these types of movies, it is much better then many. The DVD is bare bones, and I think pan/scan..It is MUCH better then The Punisher. A lot more charm, better action and one of the best lines EVER in a movie. (I would need a (mature) thread to say it)...in fact, a LOT of good cheesy lines...might just watch it again..

Oh, and 10 bucks is not a great deal. That is what you would pay at Walmart, and a few online stores. Not high, just about average is all. (I am not sure, but I think Walmart might have this as one of their 6.99 DVDs, but it has been a long time so I might be wrong)

I say go for it..

Thank you very much for the opinions. I will more than likely pick it up when next I see it.

I got this movie the other day for $10.45.

For it's price it's great. It's got just enough story line to make it at least watchable and there are cheezy moment aplenty.

Some good old fasion fight scenes and explosions, not to mention Tia Carrera who is always nice to watch, Showdown adds up to a pretty good flick for what you pay.

I'd get it for sure if I were you.

Unfortunately, Brandon Lee was only in 2 good flicks: The Crow & Rapid Fire.

Rapid Fire was also good in a cheesy sort of way, but is it just me, or is the editing of the sound in that movie the worst ever? Gun's shoot, and you do not hear the sound, or you hear sounds when there are no gun shots..
