There are three different Fantasia DVDs available for preorder at buy.com. If you have to purchase just one of them, which one would you buy and why?

Thanks.

The 3 disc collector's set. Why? Both films + an extras disc. Have you never seen Fantasia? Get it. I haven't seen Fantasia 2000 yet, so I'm getting that one as well. They are not the same film... Get the 3 disc set. Otherwise, get the first one and decide from there if you want 2000.

I agree - I've ordered my set. It depends on how much you want to spend on this product, though.

For all of you who "can't sit through Fantasia", let me just say that you may enjoy Fantasia 2000 much more. To me, it seemed to be faster paced and more interesting musically and visually.

For the record, I do enjoy the original Fantasia, but I think that Fantasia 2000 has a broader audience appeal.

Oh yeah, I ordered the 3-disc Fantasia Anthology.

Anyone know what kind of box the Anthology comes in? Is it going to be like the Toy Box with three separate cases? I hope so. I like the box artwork on the two separate discs and not as much on the Anthology.

Is Fantasia 2000 made for "straight to video" or was it shown in theatres?

Anthology all the way. Original "Fantasia" is my favorite Disney flick, so it's only Disney I'm going to buy!

It was originally presented in IMAX theatres in January, and it had a limited run a few months back.

I ordered the Anthology. I haven't seen Fantasia2K and the only time I saw Fantasia was when I was young, so I didn't like it. Now, I can appreciate classical music, so I'll probably like them. If not, there's always eBay.

Besides the fact I got it free with GCs, anyway.

I'm getting the three-disc set. I'm impressed that Disney is putting together such a nice package so soon. I would have thought that Fantasia would have been one of those films that they made us wait years and years before releasing (like Beauty and the Beast and Snow White).

The Anthology. I loved both movies, and look at these supplements on the third disk! I wasn't too sure about the content of the third disk, but I am very happy that I ordered it. Simply amazing....

Just an FYI, "Fantasia 2000" is currently being shown again in IMAX here in Atlanta (at the Mall of Georgia) and, I bet, at some other IMAX theaters across the country.

Its well-worth seeing in this format if you missed it during its first IMAX run earlier in the year.

Saw Fantasia 2K in Osaka IMAX Theater in Japan. It was OK - I prefer the musical score in the original.
