After playing numerous times in my vcr, I finally watched the dvd and enjoyed it once again.
The disc could have had more features but the crappy 1.85:1 was nice, I suppose. I wanted to be beat up Michael Rooker after watching it though.
Your thoughts?

Didn't really care for it, to be honest. It started out with such promise but falters in cohesion and impact badly once the main characters leave the city.
What would have been a much better and daring approach would have been for the characters to stay in their neighborhood and let the film become a study on how such a power outage would effect a tightly packed urban area, how order breaks down completely.
I did very much enjoy the opening sequence where the film shows how anger/bad feeling can be passed from one stranger to another, escalating along the way.
