I received my copy on Kindred from buy.com
yesterday and watched the first two episodes
last night. It's a nice set for the price
($30 retail). Two discs in a nice case which
has a hinged section for disc 1. The video
and audio are nothing special but acceptable
for a television series.

The series is uneven but overall worthwhile.
The acting ranges from awful to good. Several
actors are favorites of mine (Kelly Rutherford, Jeff Kober) so I enjoy seeing them here. The scripting leaves something to
be desired but isn't terrible. Overall it's
not one of the best but certainly deserved
more of a run than it got, many long running
series aren't as good.

There are eight episodes for a total running
time of 377 minutes. One odd thing about
Artisan's production is that there's no option to play an episode, what you have to
do is go to chapter selection and choose chapter one.

http://www.dvdnightmare.com/ is reporting that there is a 4-minute scene that is missing from the pilot episode. People may want to wait before purchasing this set (in case there is a recall or reissue).
