Rent It! It is worth the extra dough, at least for me, to rent a film I haven't seen yet and decide then if I want to buy it or not. Very, very rarely will I buy a disc of a film I have not yet seen. Even with the cost of a rental and the additional cost by not pre-ordering, I still end up saving money by not buying titles that I do not want.

It's an entertaining night of drama if you rent it. I found it to be a nice story that could have been a "Hallmark Presents" feature if there hadn't been the theme of abortion and incest. It's not a movie that should have been nominated for best picture though IMO. There were many other better films, as brianluvdvd stated. Cider was at times a bit too sentimental for such a dark underlying theme, and felt somewhat abrubt with the conclusion. But overall I enjoyed it as a good "character" piece with some nice dialogue. Nothing I would ever purchase on DVD, but worth watching nonetheless.
