I've seen this movie and enjoyed it but am wondering if the dvd is worth owning. How is the picture and sound quality, etc.

I rented this movie awhile ago. Considering its age, I thought it looked and sounded pretty good. If you like the movie, it's worth getting.

Which "Black Rain" are you referring to?

Ridley Scott's gangster/yakuza flick or
Shohei Imamura's post Hiroshima film?

eXcentris, I had the same thought. However, on an earlier review thread, it looks like a review request for the Ridley Scott film.

It's one of those films that doesn't get better with time, for me. But it does have Kate Capshaw in it, so that partially redeems the film in my eyes.
