Picture and sound quality were very good. Not
a big action film but it made some use of the
surrounds. I enjoyed the dvd but it is not
going to be a classic.

I just watched this over the weekend, and had heard mixed reviews of it prior to my viewing.

Maybe it's because I had low expectations, but I found the movie to be above average. Tommy Lee turns in his usual gritty performance (a la Fugitive), and Ashley Judd is turning into one hell of an actress (besides, she's easy on the eyes). Bruce Greenwood is perfect in a supporting role, though I've never been extremely fond of him as an actor.

The writing was well done, and directing/editing also.

The only points I would take off would be for several cliches (a la Sleeping with the Enemy) that pop up throughout the movie - nothing over bearing, and certainly out-weighed by several original scenes and plot points.

Definitely worth the rental, and much better than the other flick I recently saw - Astronaut's Wife.

This was not a bad flick at all. Judd is absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen it before so i rented it and i glad i did. I would not buy it, but give it a rent for sure. The transfer is really good. The first part was filmed outside the seatle area, pungent sound, and the scenery was stunning. The 5.1 mix was well balanced and delivered some solid bass at times and the surrounds were not to active but they were there. If your a fan of the film then I say buy it, but if you've never seen it give it a rent because it worth it.
