How is the DTS version of this DVD? I was thinking about getting this weekend. Also, is Bone Collector good, since it is going to be DTS also? Thanks

Erik, I own both the DD and DTS versions of 12 Monkeys and always find myself playing the DTS copy. Sonically it is far superior, but does lack the extra commentary from Gilliam (the reason I picked the DD copy up). This was the first DTS DVD I purchased and feel that the sound elevates an already great film. I assume you have seen the movie and know its virtues, so pick it up if you can live without Gilliam's excellent commentary. If I had to choose only one, I'd get the DTS version. If you can afford both, get 'em.

Don't buy the DTS version. The DD and DTS version both are pretty much exactly the same in terms of sound and picture. BUT, what makes the DD version stand out is all the incredible extras. The documentary and the commentary track are worth the price alone. Plus, with the trailer, and photo gallery, you can't go wrong. If you're a fan of 12 Monkeys and Terry Gilliam, please, even if you love DTS to death... fu*k it for this one movie alone.

If sound quality is important to you, buy the DTS, rent the DD to see the extras.
