Does your tv have progressive inputs?

If yes, then yes.

If no, then no.

If I am not mistaken, and I certainly could be, only the XBR models are capable of doing 480p and 1080i. If this is the case you would not benifit from a pro-scan DVD player. Just make sure to get a DVD player with component out to take advantage of the component in on the TV.

A couple of points and I could be mistaken on them but...

a) As far as I know, none of the WEGA TVs have progressive inputs.

b) In order to take advantage of a progressive scan DVD player, your TV has to have progressive component video inputs. Ordinary component video inpus will not be enough.

WEGA Tvs have component video inputs, just not progressive ones.
