I was watching BASEketball and about 30 minutes till the end the disc started skipping. Finally, it just plain stopped. I took it out in fear that my player was on the fritz for the fourth time. I put in M:I2 and it was skipping as well on the main menu. I took it out and put in Gladiator and it would not even load the menu up. I took it out. Turned the player off and turned it back on and tried other known good disks. No trouble there. I put the new disks back in for a try and everything is now working. So, should I be worried here? Is this maybe a issue of having the unit cleaned or something? Thoughts and/or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Sometimes DVD players get confused and powering them on and off "clears the buffer," so to speak, and takes care of the problem.
You might want to just take a wait and see approach. I believe there are laser cleaners out there, but I think it's more likely that your problem was electrical and powering it off cleared it up.

Thanks for the useful info Blade. Hopefully that is all that it was. This player makes me nervous given the history of problems I have had.
