My new 32" Wega seems to have a red line on the top left corner of the screen. It is only noticable when watching dvd's in widescreen (which is basicly all of them). It is very annoying, but fortunately it goes away from time to time. Anyone ever have this problem, or know how to get rid of it?? Maybe the answer lies in the service menu. For $1,000 you'd expect perfection. Thanks for any help you can give me!

do you by chance have a center channel speaker on top of it?

Good question Chess. From my own experience magnetic interference from speakers usually creates a green tint but I don't have a Wega so it might be different...

Curious now.

Yes, I have a small Sony center speaker on top of my tv. I will disconnect it and see if the red line goes away. Thanx

No luck. I removed the center speaker, and the line is still there. It is a small red "hair line" that goes about 3 inches out from the top left corner of the screen. It is ony noticable on black or dark backgrounds.

I agree - for a $1000 you deserve perfection. If it wasn't the center channel and you've checked the menu settings (very unlikely cause but doesn't hurt) I'd say you have a defective TV. Sorry.

I am kinda having the same problem. I have a sony 27" (non-wega) and I get a little green spot in the upper left corner, and my center is on the right side, on top of my entertainment center. Anyone know what this is from?

I've got the same TV and noticed a small green spot near the top when for about a day after I first bought it. Then it just went away and never came back.
