Adjusting Subwoofer Level??

They'll essentially do the same thing, boost or cut the signal going into your sub amp. So probably leave the reciever one flat and adjust the one on your sub to the level you like, then you can adjust the one on your reciever if you decide spontaneously that you'd like more or less bass.

That depends on a lot of variables. Size and model of sub, size of other speakers in system, size of enclosure, the room it's in, the slope of the crossover, etc. But usually a good place to start is around 80 Hz, if you have large mains maybe try lower like 50-60, if you have small mains 80-100 is probably fine. You just have to see what you think sounds good. Hope that helped a little anyways.
