I own the Take 5 system and the Onkyo 575X.
Right now I am running bare wire to both receiver and speakers but have decided to invest in some connectors.
I know the Onkyo can take banana plugs, but I'm stumped on the Energy! It doesn't look like they can take banana plugs. I guess they could take pins, but I don't know.
I've read through all the manual to no avail.
Does anyone know about this??

Doesn't the Energy Take 5's have little "covers" or "plugs" that have to be removed in order for the binding posts to accept the banana plugs? I am running two Energy Take 2's as rear surround speakers. Since they are wall mounted, I am running bare wire to them through a cut out in the wall and can't fit banana plugs. I do believe they have little "covers" or "plugs" on them though. Since I'm not at home right now I can't check . Give this a check - in the meantime, can anyone else help out?

Yeah, they do have covers. I heard from someone else that you have to remove them to plug in banana plugs. Does anyone know how to remove them?? I started to attempt to screw them off but I figured that I would break it (I'm good at that). Is there some particular way they are supposed to come off? Do you just rip off the plastic covers?
