For those who are interested in the SR-7000 and SR-8000, I thought you might want to know about this. I called a dealer I've dealt with before to buy the 8000. He told me to hold off until after CES because there's a rumor of Marantz introducing some replacement models of their AV receiver line. He wasn't positive which models were being replaced, but was pretty sure the 8000 was one of them.
Just though I'd pass it along in case anyone is getting ready to buy. And depending on what the replacement model costs or does, the price of 8000's already in stock may drop.

Funny, I was just coming over to this Forum to research the 7000. I got a price of 680 for it... just out of curioucity, what are teh 8000's going for?
