Glad it's starting a month earlier than last year. Last year it started in late August and I ended up falling way behind once Fall started. I think I watched the last 6-7 episodes after the season ended.
Hope Eph's son dies a miserable death. Worst character on this show.
Most in this forum are going to be talking Game of Thrones tonight, so don't expect much chatter on this.

I'm watching. While last year was an improvement over S2, IMHO, it still wasn't as good as season 1. This better be some good stuff to wrap it all up.

Will catch it later this week. Agree S1 was the best, so hopefully they go out with a bang. I thought the final book in the trilogy was the worst - no idea how faithful to that they plan on taking it.

I either forgot or didn't know Rhona Mitra was in this.

Wow ... they have gone full Carl with the annoying little shit.
Not a bad start. Seems as if this show is still having trouble capturing the full scale of what they are trying to portray, but they are getting pretty ambitious (compared to Season 1 which was almost claustrophobic.
So they want to set off another nuke ... why?

I assume the nuke is for the master to take him out.

I felt that was too obvious and rather illogical. I thought maybe there was something else I missed.
Setrakian talked about The Master needed to "see the face of God". Not sure how the logic leaps to equating that to a nuke. At the risk of this sounding strange, that is a very small and petty human reaction. We are talking about a supernatural being, why would one think "nuke it from orbit"?
(And yes, Rhona Mitra )

well, they've shown that no matter what they try, they haven't been able to take out the master. nuke is seemingly the most extreme way to ensure destruction. i could see why they would go that route.

I mentioned earlier that I mix up plot lines from the books and the show, so I may be wrong on this. Wasn't there a plan to seal him in a silver or lead lined box and dump him in the ocean?
I dunno. Maybe I'm just not remembering enough of what they have tried. Seems like everything they've tried had been pretty much frontal assaults with guns, swords, and "traditional" weapons. Sure he has been wounded but not killed, but it has mostly been him outsmarting them.

They tried that in the show. If I remember right, the blast wave from the nuke tossed the box around breaking it and he escaped.

Thank you! I thought it was something like that. Yeah, nuke is the next logical step.
