Well, I guess I have had the wrong impression of HIAM or else I was getting them mixed up with some other all girl band. I thought they had more of a hard-edged rock sound. They sounded like Wilson Phillips on both songs they played. Blaaaaah

Yeah you must have gotten them mixed up because they've always been folk-pop sounding even on their last album.

Think they can put the Spicer sketches to bed for a while. This one was weak.
And HAIM is awesome. The lead singer is legit talented.

Started OK with the cold open but the pie sketch was stupid as hell and the Spicer sketch lost momentum quickly. The rest of the episode was not great. HAIM is terrible but you guys feel free to enjoy them.

Liked that too. Thought this week would be comedy gold with McCarthy returning and everything that happened in Washington with Spicey this week. But the entire show just kind of fizzled from the get-go. Was really surprised they didn't dive deeper into the comedy gold surrounding Spicey "among" the bushes. Oh well...
