Going to give this a shot on a very short leash. Mostly because I love Crane as the main character. With the changes they made they got rid of many of the complaints I had about the show. But at the same time, this new premise seems very ripe for being even worse than S3.

I'm in only because of Crane (and Tom Mison does a great job of playing him).
... and I'm hoping that Jeremy Davies doesn't play the jittery brainiac (Lost) or jittery imbecile (Justified) that he usually plays... he grates on me.

I have all three seasons on Vudu and still haven't finished season three. Will probably read other's reactions of season four before I even consider watching.

I've been with it for three seasons so what's another 10 hours of my life. Glad it's only 13 episodes. I so much prefer these low/mid teen episode counts.

I'm in. I've enjoyed the show and its potential. I just hope they keep the Our Founding Fathers was fuckin' with Magic n shit!!/Alternative American History aspect alive.

So is this the final season? I don't see where else they can take this. Freak of the week?

OK, now that the episode is over I must say that I kind of liked it. Yeah it was a little stretch on the "Freak of the Week" (I love how they're willing to go to any lengths to tie American history in with their fantastic world), but the tie-in was really quite clever.
I like the new cast, it's a breath of fresh air.
The jury is still out on Jeremy Davies' character... he may turn out to be a good villain.
I wonder how many episodes it's gonna take for Ichabod to meet her daughter? Hopefully it's not too long… There's only 12 episodes left.
I will be watching next week.

Abbie was half the reason I watched Sleepy Hollow. I didn't see anything in this episode worth sticking around for after her exit. I'll give it one or two more episodes.

Yuck. It's almost an entiely new show. I like Crane, and I'm glad Jennie is still around, but the rest disappointed. I'll give it a few more episodes for curiosity's sake.

Why does every show(Flash, Arrow, etc.) need a command center with back up characters to man it?
And what's the fascination with the FBI? Seems too many shows have to have FBI agents as protagonists or some other federal agents. Didn't like it when they switched Abby to the FBI.

Not really keen on the new partner, and Abbie's replacement (if that is where they go long term with that) but what they are doing with her daughter could be interesting. Looks like the two geeks in the archive could be fun too.
I usually like Jeremy Davies, but the few scenes with his new big bad were just terrible. So far tat seems to be where the season will fall apart.

It's sort of amazing how much damage Fox did to this show. They obviously don't realize that people liked the first season. This seems to take all the mistakes of season 2 and 3 and double down on them. The only interesting thing was the daughter. The new girl had absolutely no chemistry with Mison. The sidekicks seem to be there for convenience and comic relief. Jeremy Davies seems to be playing a corny villain. I'll keep watching for now but I don't have much hope for the show.

Generally the FBI has greater power, latitude and cache then local PD. Plus their jurisdiction is not limited to a town/city/county. It's not implausible to have FBI agents travel large areas or even internationally in the course of their work. Police are limited to their cities and even precinct. CIA is "suppose" to be for only international work. If shows want to include an official law enforcement agency it makes the most sense and gives writer the greatest latitude.
I believe it's all the X-Files' fault. Pretty much every writer working today grew up on the X-Files and it's become an intrinsic part of the formula.

So I take it that everyone dropped this show? I'm sure it's not coming back but I thought the season was pretty enjoyable storywise. The supporting characters became pretty likeable in the end and I appreciated Davies more than I initially thought. The budget cuts were apparent, especially when it came to the creature designs, but I was pretty engaged with the story. John Noble coming back was also a reminder of how much this show missed him.

Quit the show partway through season 3, jumped back in for the first half of season 4, enjoyed it but kind of lost interest. I'll probably watch the finale at some point to see how it wrapped up but overall I'll probably forget this show entirely.

I gave season four one episode to reel me in after Abbey's departure and didn't think it was worth watching anymore. The new cast members did nothing for me.
This show only worked because of Crane and Abbey's chemistry. I wonder what the real story was behind her exit.

I thought it started to work before the series was over. Mostly because the daughter came back as an adult. But is it going to get renewed? If not, it doesn't relally matter.

Haven't really enjoyed this show since Season 1. So glad Davies' character was killed off. Don't like him as an actor. Won't be heartbroken if the show is cancelled.

Hold onto your heads, “Sleepy Hollow” viewers: Fox has cancelled the series, after four seasons, Variety has learned.
Though the show was a buzzy fan-favorite series, the cancellation comes as little surprise, as the supernatural drama wrapped its lowest-rated season yet this March. Season 4 was ordered with a shorter run of 13 episodes, after every other season had spanned 18 episodes.

Just finished binge watching the last 5 episodes of this last season... and it's a fitting end. I'm satisfied with how this show turned out.
Thanks for 4 great years Ichabod.
