Another solid episode. I wonder what was written on the paper Flynn found at the end....

Be cool if it was a message written to him. Either from him, or Lucy, put there during a trip to the past they haven't done yet. 12 Monkeys kind of stuff.

This was a very entertaining episode. Those actors for Bonnie and Clyde were great in their roles for a one-off episode.

Has the team been able to visit one time period yet without altering something?

Great episode. I was wary at first, since I don't really care for Bonnie and Clyde. But those two actors did a great job and I wasn't bored at all.

Great music in this episode too.

Excellent chemistry between Wyatt and Lucy.

Bonnie was hot! Very cool way to make something as lame as Flynn trying to get the key very entertaining. Hopefully they pay off the Henry Ford name drop down the line.

I wonder where they are going with Lucy's boyfriend. They cast a real actor in that role, implying his role gets larger down the line.

At the beginning of the season, I found this show inferior to the similarly-themed Frequency. But at this point those positions have reversed. I find myself looking forward to this more and more, while Frequency is starting to become tedious.

The show already feels to formulaic to me. They need to get away from the "go somewhere and come back" thing they do every episode. Let them spend a couple episodes in one place or not go anywhere one episode. It also doesn't feel like the story is advancing much at all.

They also need to realize that if it takes an extra hour to get ready in the present so what?

Misguided in a time travel show but it seems to be canon in this show that if they leave an hour after Flynn, they get there an hour after Flynn, so they have to HURRY!!!!.

Turn the dial up a little.

I don't foresee this show having rigorous time travel rules. It's a network procedural on NBC. Expect the formula to continue at least through this season.

What happens if during his 1 hour head start Flynn kills Rufus' great grandparents? Seems to me Rufus'd cease to exist and now our heroic team would have no pilot. Oops.

This type of stuff is what most annoys me about the show, although it's still entertaining. Things in the present "should" change the instant Flynn goes back.

Then how would the time machines have been built in the first place?

That annoys the hell out of me. If things don't change instantly when Flynn time travels (which doesn't make sense) it shouldn't matter if it takes an hour or a week to travel.

Exactly. It's like the show is trying to sell us on the notion that the past is somehow moving at the same rate in parallel to the present.

Agreed on both accounts. The two playing Bonnie and Clyde did a great job and sold the star crossed lovers. Was Bonnie really married to somebody else the entire time?

They might show Ford, but seem to go with secondary or lesser visually known historical figures. Maybe his secretary or VP with him in the background.

If the show goes long enough it's possible they weave in other historical groups. Imagine if they set up the Masons (no pun intended) as an anti-Rittenhause group.

I agree with spending more time in the present. We haven't seen anything about Lucy dealing with the fallout having a fiancé since week 2.

Not much commentary on the Lucy and Wyatt kiss. I'm onboard!

Lucy and Wyatt definitely have chemistry. They just look like a couple. Knowing how shows hold off as long as possible on pairing up the leads, something will come up to slow that romance.

Given Wyatt still holds out hope that he can save his wife, I would say it will be pretty easy to keep the leads apart as a couple. But of course should the show slip, and satisfying shippers will get things rolling, Wyatt will suddenly find a reason to give up on his dead wife despite the show clearly showing they can successfully make changes.

They might have to put them together sooner than they would like. I've heard this show is on the bubble.

I predicted here its demise after the second episode. Perhaps the CW could handle its ratings, but not NBC.

Personally I would be cool with this being a one season show if they get the word and wrap it up.

Said it before the season....these sort of shows are invariably doomed to failure on broadcast TV, particularly NBC. That's why I'm not too invested in it nor will be surprised if it never gets a resolution.

Be nice, but afraid this will be another "Surface", "Alcatraz", "Invasion", "The Event".
