Comedy Challenge 2016 week 2: Pick the movie

What should be our movie for week 2? The theme is Funny Women for Sadie Hawkins Day. All are on Netflix streaming; only one is on Prime, unfortunately.

Amelie (Prime)
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Clueless
Heathers
Mean Girls
Sixteen Candles

I don't know if I want to go with Sixteen Candles, which I've never seen but is a John Hughes film, or Heathers, which I actually like.

Amelie, so we Americans can all also get the foreign language checkmark.

Trying to decide between

Amelie (since I have Prime and it's there)
Breakfast at Tiffany's (in the unopened pile)
Clueless (also in the unopened pile)

So... ulterior motives mostly.

Sixteen Candles is pretty good but I don't own a copy of that one... yet...

Went with Mean Girls as it's the only one I haven't watched, but I have access to all of them, so I'm good with however it plays out. 16 Candles has been on my watch list for awhile now, keep on thinking about popping it in so this may be the extra nudge I need to actually watch it again.

nooooooooo! Once was enough and it made Alien Resurrection even more of a chore to sit through.

Now I'm leaning towards Mean Girls. I remember not wanting to watch it but then having it turn out into something that wasn't a horrible chick flick.

Re: Comedy Challenge 2016 week 2: Pick the movie

I'm definitely mixed. Mean Girls is the one I like the best, and I was underwhelmed when I saw Amelie years ago (though all the hype played a factor in my disappointment). But my kid is learning French and would probably like it.
