I guess the show's not going to address Liam's issue with not talking, or are they just going to pretend everything is normal? He's almost 5 and has said maybe 5 words during the series.

They should just reveal that Liam is autistic or something. Or else maybe he was brain damaged from that cocaine. Do the producers just figure he's still not old enough to start up with the crazy Gallagher shenanigans that every other family is involved in?

I don't see how no one could identify Frank. Wouldn't they go to the police to see if he is known by them. Certainly, he has some record and there are cops that would be familiar with him. Also, is it the same hospital where Frank was previously for his liver surgery?

How is it that Frank's legs don't work but his arms are strong enough to pull his whole body up the stairs?

Could Carl really get a doctor to perform that procedure without a permission from a parent/guardian?

I don't see Fiona giving a shit about it and just signed the paperwork. If not Carl would most likely just forge her name.

Kev and Vi are still the highlight for me with Carl running a close second. I'm still really enjoying the show but about half the cast are in storylines that are just spinning their wheels. This season really should be the last imho.

It should be... but knowing Showtime, it won't.

Liam said more than 2 words. Impressive.

As for the rest of the show - the story lines are really lame so far.

Fiona taking over Patsy's... Debbie stealing strollers (she's obviously going to get caught in a trap - going to the well too many times)... Ian banging a chick... Kevin/V running a topless maid-service... Carl's circumcision... Frank's battle to stay in the house. It really feels like they're struggling to find something for the characters to do.

The only thing that has potential is what Lip seems to have stumbled on in his internship.

The circumcision plot is really grossing me out.

The show's spinning it's wheels, which is typical for all Showtime shows that last more than three seasons.

I wonder if the need to get this season done early resulted in less time to work out the storylines.

What exactly is Frank trying accomplish by having his kids "disinherited"? AFAIK, that only means they wouldn't get whatever he had after he died. He doesn't seem to have anything anyway. All he needs is a will for that. I don't think he could force them to change their names. Did he forget that Fiona has guardianship over the minor kids (Debbie, Carl, Liam) anyway?

I don't think Frank remembers any of those details.

I'm a bit annoyed that they set up the whole Frankenstein wiener bit at the end and she didn't care it was a chewed up piece of meat. I got cut as an adult. Not only is not getting hard easy (too much trauma for biology to kick it) but you are too sore to do anything besides waddle around with gauze stuffed down your pants for a week or two.

Yeah, that shit ain't gonna heal in 72 hours. Also seemed unrealistic that he's get erections while he's in that much pain down there.

Also can't believe she was that offended by him not being circumcised, but didn't have any problem going down on a raw, torn up, stitched wiener.

Also, from what I've heard from the experts (gay dudes and porn stars), uncircumcised is preferable.

Of course, if this show was in any way realistic, Frank would be dead, Fiona would have four kids by four different men, and Lip and Ian would be in prison.

Shameless (S7E03) -- "Home Sweet Homeless Shelter" -- 10/16/16

HOME SWEET HOMELESS SHELTER
Original Air Date: Oct 16, 2016

Kevin, Veronica and Svetlana start a topless maid service. At the shelter, meanwhile, Frank makes new friends to replace his old family - leading them to a for-sale house converted into the Gallagher Home for the Homeless. Plus, Debbie's new lifestyle comes to an abrupt end; Carl gets a syphilis scare; Ian struggles with a breakup; and with Fiona on the run to clean up after her siblings, business at Patsy's hits the skids.

Episode 3 of 12

Seems like there's not many eyes here tuned into Shameless weekly in a really really crowded Fall. Totally understandable.

Still watching it. Still find it entertaining. Nothing groundbreaking, though. Ian's storyline is a little tired.

Debbie's story just keeps getting worse and worse each season. I had to struggle to get through this episode since it's just way more of the same nonsense.

Re: Shameless (S7E03) -- "Home Sweet Homeless Shelter" -- 10/16/16

Good to see Fiona try to offload some of her responsibility to the other kids. I seem to remember her trying to do that at least once before and it obviously didn't work out so well.

The best scene was the Chicago PD team storming the frat house. I'm not sure how they can just break down the door. I would have liked to see what happened after that. Hopefully Carl's girl was still there.

What's the point of Fiona having random Tinder sex if we don't get any sex scenes with her? Has she given up doing nudity this season?

I agree. Her storyline is cringe-worthy. Every time she attempted to steal something, it would get more and more uncomfortable because you knew she'd get caught eventually. Dumb kid!

Every time I hear Debbie bitch and moan about having to take care of the baby and how little sleep she gets, I just want to bitch-slap her. I loved that Fiona told her "not my problem", but wish she would rub it in her face more that she warned her many times to not have the baby.

Kevin/Vee/etc. story line is just dumb.

Kev was better when he was paralyzing his neighbor and then lighting him on fire.

Didn't Fiona originally tell Debbie that she wouldn't be able to live there once she had the baby?

Yeah but I think I remember her caving in.

Also why should Carl be paying any of the bills? Fiona explained to him that it's not the rent they're paying, it's the bills... but it's Carl's house and he lets them live there rent-free - so the least they can do is let him off the hook for any bills.
