Ash vs. Evil Dead (Starz) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 10/2/16
The second season roars back into action with an extended episode where Ash is forced to leave his cushy retirement in Jacksonville, return to his hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan, and mount up once again to face The Evil Dead. This time, he'll have to form an uneasy alliance with his former enemy Ruby as Elk Grove becomes the nucleus to the most dangerous horror Ash has faced to date. The upcoming season of "Ash vs Evil Dead" will include ten half-hour episodes.

Season 2 premieres Sunday night.
As mentioned, the 1st episode was released a few days early on Starz on demand and their app.
Please no spoilers until after the episode actually airs Sunday night at 8pm ET.

Yeah, that was great. I hope they sustain this for the entire season. Last season had one or two episodes they could've just cut out to no ill effect.

That was awesome. Straight to all the mayhem. No BS along with Ash being Ash.
Ash's party in Jacksonville turning into a full out bloodbath was full out awesome.

Yep, wildly entertaining...just like the first season. Great to see Lee Majors in this (loved the Six Million Dollar Man joke about Ash's hand).

I lost it when Ash stopped to splash on some Pinaud's and wink at the camera. In some ways I'm glad that this a half hour show as it forces them to keep the action rolling along.

We discussed this last season, but honestly 30 minutes with no commercials isn't much shorter than any episode of The Walking Dead (which may be clocking under 40 minutes per show when it comes back in a few weeks). And how many Walking Dead episodes spend most of their time slogging along until the final act? (Answer: most of them!)

When the first series made it known that the episodes were "only' 30 minutes, I felt that wouldn't be long enough. After viewing, the 30 minutes seems like a perfect length, it's so well done.

This may have been the best episode of this show thus far. The parts that were supposed to be funny were hilarious "why are you mentioning that bad memory disease?". Plenty of action and tons of gore. Everything worked.

Seems like they took the criticism of CGI blood from the first season to heart, as I didn't notice much, if any, CGI blood in this episode.

Kelly certainly went through many a soaking wet scene in this episode. It was a brilliant start to the season, and as I said at the series' beginning; so right to not try to stretch it out to an hour--it's too intense to sustain.

I can't imagine how many gallons of fake blood and black goop they had to go through on this series.

Great series. Best episode. Slightly distracted by the plastic surgery Lee majors appears to have received and Pablo's stupid hairdo. If one of the Deadites manages to give that guy haircut the show would be perfect. It's kind of amazing how Zena stays hot after all these years. And unlike Majors, if it's because she has had multiple surgeries, at least isn't as distractingly obvious.

Episode 2 was awesome. Not sure when it airs because I watch it on Starz Play (which still works with Xfinity on my 360).
I won't go into detail until people post when they run it on Starz Prime.

OMG, that morgue scene was fucking hilarious. I was rolling. 1st the live intestines, then the dick in his face and then finally Ash going into the guy's butt hole.

"I never want to hear the word asshole again!"
The morgue scene was pure gold. Both Kelly and Ash were hilarious. Made the stuff going on back at his house a big let down. And old Lee Majors face is still creeping me out.

I didn't know whether to laugh or throw up during that morgue scene. Holy heck are they going all out on this show! I liked all the background stuff in Ash's room that one would find in a 70s-era Detroit teenager's bedroom -- Ghoul sticker, MC5 poster, etc.

Holy shit, that car possession sequence was crazy awesome.
at the guy getting his face grinded off by the tire. That was a pretty gruesome scene. He was running pretty well for a guy who just got his dick chewed off.
at Lee Majors getting killed off at the end by the car.
at Ash's warning after the credits to not drink Pink Fuck

This show is amazing - I'd go as far to say even better than the movies. I am so stoked that it has been renewed for a 3rd season. It needs to win an Emmy.

This show is god damn brilliant. Most fun half hour on television.
I'm gonna miss Lee Majors, but damn if that wasn't a great ending.
