Have you actually seen Sea of Trees or Free State of Jones? Seems to be very few reviews on here from people that have purposely exposed themselves to said titles. Curious at just how bad they are.

Have not seen them, but I know some people that have and the ones who's opinions I don't trust said they were good.

^^ Yikes. I had high hopes for this one.
FWIW, Sea of Trees is on Amazon Prime. Doesn't look like my cup of tea but the premise is intriguing.

Was almost going to check this out this weekend but held off. I'm glad I did. Doesn't look too promising.
Did not see Sea Of Trees but did see Jones. The best I could say was it was fair. Not a great historical drama but interesting enough. It was an OK rental. Not something I would care to own. What carried it for me was the Civil War backdrop.
