In this psychological thriller from the director of Eagle Eye and Disturbia, Dana and David move from Brooklyn to a once-grand southern mansion with their 5 year old son looking for a fresh start. But Dana's discovery of a secret room unleashes unexplainable events that test her sanity and slowly reveal the home's terrifying past.

Looks like this is playing in some theatres this weekend.

That's a terrible title, but I like Caruso and Wentworth Miller's last screenplay was at least entertaining (Stoker) so I'll give it a shot.

I'm just getting sick of all these haunted house movies. They all look the same and this is no exception...

Prior to last week, I'd never even heard of this one...just kinda snuck up on me. I'll more than likely end up seeing it with my son sometime this weekend.

It, for some reason, took the place of the movie that was coming out where the parents adopted a child and he had those dreams with one of them involving their dead son. I was curious about that film. This film, I still have no idea what it is about.

Before I Wake is still stuck in US release limbo, I fully expect for it to just randomly show up on VOD someday soon as it has already been released almost everywhere else. It's an okay movie, worth watching but not a great one by any means.

Not to highjack this thread or anything, but curious how you watched it. I was looking on IMDB and actually found someone posted a link to the movie. Sadly I'll probably end up watching it that way in October as I've been curious about the film.

The most disappointing thing is that it seems like nobody on here actually went and watched this to then come back and tell us how disappointed you were with it.

It didn't even make the Top 10 films this week...

'"The Disapointments Room"? Misleading thread title. I thought we finally had a sub forum for all of Oldboy's threads.

Just got back from seeing it. I really wasn't disappointed, lol. My biggest complaint was that it felt heavily tampered with. I've heard rumors of reshoots, and it seems to be the case. There were a few things that were just never explained and seemed to come out of left field. I'd be interested to see if a director's cut comes out down the road.
