Possibly The Lamest Labor Day Weekend For Sales In History?
The title says it...........
All I've even looked at with any seriousness are VCI (nothing I need); Kino (too pricey), DD's TV Sale (only one $6 item I want), & HPB's 20% off in store (which is not enough to motivate me driving 20+ miles round trip)

Still a couple of days left...there's hope...but again, the state of physical media's continued embrace (or the lackthereof) is quite well established now

I haven't seen any great legal download sales, either.
Guess I'll be saving for BF & hoping; there are a few items i want at the moment, both music & film.

I dunno, I never saw Labor Day sales as a prime time to pick up blu's. Electronics is another thing.

The most disturbing thing seen this year is we didn't get the annual warehouse clearance sales most media distributors usually run in July and August. The closest we got was from Twilight Time.
The labels have gotten so shy about overprinting their runs that we rarely see big clear-outs anymore. It's much tougher bargain shopping these days for the discriminating movie lover.

Apart from a big Half Price sale, some early-summer garage sale-ing, and the last of the GoHastings, '16 has sucked for blu and DVD deals. I haven't ordered a single disk from Amazon US and UK in the last year. I haven't bought anything from Target, Walmart, or BB since early last winter. Deep Discount is a distant memory (last small purchase 2.5 years ago; last big purchase 5 years ago). It's been two years since my last Big Lots buy.
It seems the heyday of great promotional prices for physical media is over. I'm sure there'll continue to be some deals, just not prolifically. The hunt will just be longer and more challenging. But thanks to DVDTalk and Blu Ray.com, we can stay up to date on the new opportunities.
