From Eric Kripke (Supernatural), Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and the producers of “The Blacklist” comes this thrilling action-adventure series in which a mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, intent on destroying America as we know it by changing the past. Our only hope is an unexpected team: a scientist, soldier and history professor who must use the machine’s prototype to travel back in time to critical events. While they must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, they must also stay one step ahead of this dangerous fugitive. Can this handpicked team uncover the mystery behind it all and end his destruction before it’s too late?
The cast includes Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit.
Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan wrote the pilot and executive produce alongside John Davis, John Fox, and Marney Hochman. Neill Marshall also executive produces. “Timeless” is produced by Davis Entertainment, Kripke Enterprises and MiddKid Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television.

I guess time travel is now the new big thing. So hard to do right. Anything remotely sci-fi has been failure after failure on the broadcast networks.

Time after Time on ABC and Frequency on CW. Does seem like it's the new big thing. I don't know. I can't see all 3 surviving. Most viewers are probably going to pick only 1 of the 3 to support.

Paterson Joseph who was rumored for Dr Who years ago?!I'm a sucker for time travel, so I'll be busy come pilot season.

Frequency while a good movie, I'm just not interested in a full series of it.
Then there is this, Timeless, which just sounds like the same thing many other shows have already attempted... and given Kripke's last project, I don't have a lot of hope for it either. Doesn't seem to have anything going for it. It's unoriginal and none of the cast seem to interest me based on what we have seen thus far.
So I probably won't be tuning into any of them. Already have Doctor Who and Legends of Tomorrow as time traveling series. Legends was mostly bad this last season and Doctor Who has been on a downward spiral for years. :/

I'll give it a shot but time travel requires immense planning in advance that I don't think most showrunners are prepared to do unless it's the stupid Quantum Leap brand of time travel.
