Went into limited release on 3/11. 93% RT so far. Plus, it's got Aaron Paul (bitch!) and Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen).
Not impressed with the trailer. Seems low budget TV movie-ish to me and perhaps a little too idealistic.

I saw this tonight. Best film of 2016 so far for me. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't make my top 10 at the end of the year.
Intense is the best word to describe this movie. Tremendous acting all around. Rickman was really good...sad reminder that we won't be getting anymore performances like this out of him.

If you liked this then you should check out the equally excellent Good Kill, with Ethan Hawke. That was released last year and it was on my Top-10 of 2015. Great double feature there.

Loved it. Definitely made up for my recent subpar movie experiences with Allegiant and BvS. The tension throughout the entire film is razor sharp and reminded me a lot of Crimson Tide which in one of my favorites.
The performances were outstanding and so believable totally sucking me into the gravity of their decision. One pleasant surprise was Barkhad Abdi. You can tell he has really matured in his acting since Captain Phillips and was perfect for the role.
Movie strikes the right balance of being both thought provoking and entertaining. An interesting trivia piece is that 30% of drone strike operators suffer from PTSD.

Saw this last night. It was probably even better than I expected. It works well as both a techno-thriller and as a philosophical drama about the morals of drone warfare. I had some problems with the plot, but it was well-directed, the cast was (obviously) great, and I didn't feel like my intelligence was being insulted. Having it clock in at just over 100 minutes really helped, otherwise it might have been way too talky.

I saw this yesterday and enjoyed it.
I came here afterwards to see if there was a thread about it and couldn't find it. I think I searched for Helen Mirren and I now realize her first name wasn't included in any post yet...until now.
The plot was relatively simple but the excellent performances by all made it work.

I did end up catching this this past weekend and forgot to post about it. My biggest fear was that it was going to be a rather naive, idealistic script replete with characters who are more caricature than human beings but was pleased to see that they approach it about as neutrally as could be possible and there was really just one major character who I thought crossed the line into caricature territory. The film is largely just a procedural, which ends up being its strength. Other than the terrorists themselves, there are no evil characters at all and only one who even acts outside the realm of reasonable ethics. Performances are largely good.
It is not a great film, but a solidly good one. As there is very little in the way of "wow" effects, this is a safe one to wait for video on.
