Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 (PS4/XB1)

http://www.capcom-unity.com/harrison...coming-in-2016

Resident 4, 5, and 6 will all be available digitally for MSRP $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 each starting with Resident Evil 6 on March 29, Resident Evil 5 in summer 2016 and Resident Evil 4 in fall 2016. Physical disc versions will also be available in the Americas.
Weird schedule to do it backwards. Disappointed it seems to be separate releases instead of one collection too.

Re: Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 (PS4/XB1)

If it were all three (DLC included) in one physical copy for $40, I'd be all over it. I don't want them like this.
I don't want all that digital content clogging up my hard-drive.

Will these be "remastered", or just straight ports?

I assume they're just ports, since they're not touting any new features or better graphics at all.

I don't mind digital for these games myself, but I don't understand the particular complaint. They would clog your hard drive whether they were digital or physical

I would be on for a remake of four, but not interested in ports.

In all fairness, it adds up the same. But yeah, as far as future price drops go, this probably works in their favor. I too would rather have one physical copy, but since I've already played through 4 & 5, I wouldn't mind picking up 6 at some point.

I wish they'd stop with the remastering and porting and actually make a good RE game again.

Still waiting for the RE2 remake Capcom is working on. Also like to see remake of RE3: Nemesis and RE Code: Veronica.

Re: Resident Evil 4, 5, 6 (PS4/XB1)

I don't like to buy digital media. I only buy physical media; it sucks that some games are going the route of not getting a physical release.

Limited console hard drive space and limited internet data cap really don't allow me to go full digital anyhow.

Is co-op the only way to play 6 or is there a single player campaign?

You can play single player. The AI will handle the second person.
Same as it was in 5.

I liked the fourth one but didn't care for Resident Evil 5. Never played the sixth one.

I have 5 and 6 on disc for xbox 360 but I don't own a 360 system anymore. Are they making people buy a digital copy for xbox one instead of making these discs backwards compatible?

They are not making people do anything.

With Capcom hurting, wouldn't surprise me if they prefer this route then to allow backwards compatibility.

Pre-order is up on Amazon with the 20% Prime discount. I'm tempted, never played 6. Would be nice to have these digitally though.

Revelations 2 is probably my 3rd favorite game in the franchise actually. =)

Just finished Revelations on the 3DS. I have to rank it up there with RE4. Actually, it beats RE4 in mood, location settings and atmosphere.

Game looks great, and character models are amazing. 60 FPS really makes it a better game. I personally enjoyed Resident Evil 6 a lot, and feel it was underrated. I know people who loved the older games found the game went too far with the action, but if you can get over that there is a lot to love here. You get 4 complete campaigns, each 5-7 hours long. I think most of the hate comes from the second campaign, because it has non stop action, and really does feel out of place. The first campaign is good, the third and 4th are amazing. I also love how each campaign connects with the other chapters, with the 4th campaign mixing in and out of the first 3.

Also the controls are near perfect. If you take the time to master them you will feel like a badass even on the highest difficulty. Mix in with that extra game modes like mercenaries that add a lot to the game and you get an amazing value for 20 bucks.
