I gave up...either halfway through S2 or S3, can't even remember. Is it worth catching up on? IIRC, the reason I gave up is it seemed too realistic to me, and just pissed me off that our political systems were the way they are.

I'd say the second season has a good ending. Third didn't do much for me.
It's not very realistic when it comes to politics.

I just finished season 3, middle part was good,
Show looks great in hd, and spacey is solid so its a decent binge watch.

All episodes are available.
I'll most likely burn through over the weekend like I have in years past.

I'm on episode 3. I do get a subdued response now from folks in general as if they're "over" it. Is that the general consensus now? Was season 3 so awful that it killed the show's momentum?

I lost interest early S3, took an 11 mos break, finished it up, came in with some momentum into S4, and glad I did, the S4 has some S1 Mojo back

I don't know what this season's obsession with the "rehearsals intercut with the actual speech" thing is. Once was enough, but after the 50th time you're like "Holy shit, we get it, you rehearsed."

I just started episode #5. While I agree the rehearsal thing should have been done once, it wasn't done 50 times or more. At most, they showed him rehearsing and then switched back to the scene a few times.

Obviously I was exaggerating. But it got old pretty fast, and it happens a few more times (at least) after the episode you're on.

I just finished it. The first 4 or so episodes are more eventful than the entirety of season 3, and though there's a bit of a lull about 60% of the way through it picks up in a huge way for the final episodes. It might even be my favorite season yet.

So I want a consensus on if this season is better than than last one before I start it.

5 episodes in and loving it. A lot of the storylines last season felt like filler or just weren't very interesting but I can't complain about any of this season. I've noticed that some of the episodes are shorter in length. It seems like they may have resisted putting in some filler which benefits the show tremendously.
