"This isn't our first prison break."
Sweet ending. So that is Connor Hawke, wonder if Oliver makes an appearance.

I thought this was the first episode where LOT was firing on all cylinders. There were several great lines of dialogue in the episode, from the aforementioned Prison Break reference to Canary's "I took out six guys, I thought you could handle one."
I love seeing Sara kicking butt, Caity Lotz is just about the only actress on television I buy pulling fighting moves off in battle. Though her stunt double did the duty in a couple of shots.

Great episode. Snart's Prison Break line had me I like how Wentworth sorta smiled after that line.
Poor Ray. He's just taking a beating so far.
That ending was pretty sweet.

I also enjoyed this episode. They're still having some issues handling the large cast, but it's starting to click, and I find myself looking forward to it.
But I'm sorry... I'm just not buying Vandal Savage as this insurmountable foe, since he can be at least temporarily incapacitated pretty readily... chop him into pieces and scatter him across the globe. Encase him in molten metal, let it solidify, and drop him in the Mariana trench. Throw him into space. Use the time ship to travel to just before the end of the universe and leave him there. Or any number of options, other than "temporarily incapacitate him and run away."

Rip has a laser gun- why didn't he just shoot Savage in the head and get rid of the body?

This will be an on going point. Two weeks ago he also killed him. I thought he should take the body, encase it in concrete and drop it in the ocean (or volcano or since he has a space ship the moon or the sun or Titan).

Best episode yet. Hopefully we can put some of the endless bickering between Jax and Stein behind us now.
My only concern is the motivation for each week will be, "Hey, look at this projection of how crummy things will be in your city if you fail."
I still think Rip is up to no good. Not that Savage is some sort of hero, but Rip has a hidden agenda.

Snart seemed pretty willing to leave Ray behind for a guy who was bragging earlier about never leaving someone behind on a job.

He sort of explained that by saying he and Mick are like brothers from their prison time together. He didn't have that same connection to Ray.

Okay, so I had no intest in watching this show. I thought it looked too much and expected lots of cheese. I watched part 1 of the pilot and wasn't too impressed, but felt I should at least watch part 2. That improved enough to have me watch another. Suffice to say each episode has been better, and this one was the best yet.
I agree the two Hawks are miscast. I don't have any sense of undying love. I liked the Smallville approach where they met right as the other is about to die. Would give more gravity to trying to kill Savage, so they can break the cycle. Also, not sure why it's an issue Hawkman died. He'll just come back again.
Looking forward to more episodes. Glad it has a more limited set. It would be a great 10-12 week filler between winter and spring Flash/Arrow sessions.

I'm holding out hope this show can improve before the finale. Otherwise it's going to be a one and done from my perspective. Just too many stupid characters. They totally ruined everything good they had previously built up with Sara and Ray's characters on Arrow, and Stein on The Flash.

Hope the Russia Scienist(Volstak(SP?)) isn't dead but transform into Negative Woman.
As usual Wentworth Miller brings his 'A' game. he is easily the best part of this show.
While Hawkgirl and Jax are talking on the Waverider, you can briefly spot Ha Hunkle's "Red Tornado" helmet in the background.

I finally caught up. Why isn't Rip ripped? Arthur Darvill could've had a physical trainer make him look more like his comic book counterpart.

Darvill is the real weak link on this series. He doesn't sell mentally anguished or desperate very well as an actor. I'll assume he was cast with an eye on the British market.
