Slasher -- horror anthology series
Katie McGrath (Jurassic World) stars as Sarah Bennett, a young woman who returns to the small town where she was born, only to find herself the centerpiece in a series of horrifying copycat murders based on the widely known, grisly killings of her parents. As the murders escalate, long-buried secrets are revealed, making everyone around her a suspect…or a victim. Sarah finds herself questioning everything and everyone around her, including her husband Dylan (Brandon Jay McLaren, Graceland), her grandmother Brenda Merritt (Wendy Crewson, Revenge), family friend Cam Henry (Steve Byers, The Man in the High Castle) and the town’s police chief, Iain Vaughn (Dean McDermott, CSI).
This premieres on Friday March 4th on the Chiller network. It's 8 episodes. Most cable providers carry Chiller.
Just learned about this today. Chiller/NBC just started promoting this a few weeks ago it looks like. Here's a few trailers that were just posted today:

Unfortunately Chiller is only in SD on Directv.

I did some research and it appears that no major provider (Directv, Dish, AT&T, Comcast etc.) appears to carry Chiller in HD. Thats kind of weird, especially with the show most likely being shot in HD.
Anyways, I think I'll probably give it a look too and see how it goes.

Which is weird if it's not available in HD since most of its content is widescreen movies that have to be shown windowboxed.

Apparently the season is self contained and the final episode will resolve the storyline.
This will be an anthology horror series.
For those who are interested, but don't have access to Chiller or don't want to suffer through the crapiness of SD, you purchase the entire HD season pass for $19.99 on Amazon video.

Watched most of the first episode. It's decent. Some bad CG gore, and the lead actress's Irish accent comes through quite a bit, but overall it's not the worst low budget horror I've seen.

I would agree she needs work on her American accent. Still, I like Katie McGrath in the lead role. I probably wouldn't be returning for the second episode if she wasn't in this series.
I was less impressed by some of the scripting and writing in episode one. The scenario is also kind of silly. A woman's parents are brutally murdered and she returns to live in the house as an adult? Emotionally that only makes sense if she is in on the new murders herself.

This was just OK. I like Katie McGrath, so I'll continue to watch. But I agree that her accent is coming through too much. It is a nice and short season of Fridays so no big deal to keep recording. The lack of HD broadcast is really mind blowing though.

I like the show so far. It's not as bad as a lot of the shit out there that many watch.
Second episode got a little better and I'm in for the rest of the series now. It's got me interested after realizing who the priest was.

Just noticed yesterday that I have Chiller On Demand and both episodes were posted in HD. Looks like they get posted roughly 5 days after airing.

Enjoyed the 1st 2 episodes.
Just realized the lead cop is Tori Spelling's husband Dean McDermott.
Thought the 2nd episode was better than the 1st. After the gay guy got his arms slashed and went to the hospital, I thought he was as good as dead. Didn't expect his boyfriend to die such a gruesome death from poisoning? The murder scenes so far have been pretty graphic.
Like the costume of The Executioner. Pretty creepy.

I watched episodes 1-3 this morning. I like the show. Some of camera work and gore are bad. I don't think the writing is that bad. Yeah, it's another take on the seven deadly sins storyline, but I like the backstory given on the victims' sins.

The second episode was better, they are introducing as many characters as possible with a grudge or secret of some kind.
Throwing a guess out here that some sort of cult is behind the murder and that multiple people are dressing up as the killer.

The cult is a good guess and I can see them going there.
The priest subplot kind of reminds of Hello Mary Lou:Prom Night II and I'm wondering if the writers are possibly paying homage to that.

I watched episodes 4-7 today. I like the episodes minus one storyline that similar to a recent movie, but I liked
. I think show is storyline wise despite some of the acting, bad cinematography and bad special effects.
Since this an anthology, I hoping there is a season 2 to see what these writers do.

For those who didn't watch because it was in SD or didn't have access to Chiller, here's your chance. Scream Factory is releasing it.
