Somewhat amazingly, Gary Busey has yet to appear in a Sharknado motion picture. That gross oversight will be rectified when the film vet/reality-TV personality plays dad to Tara Reid in Sharknado 4.
Also on board for the Syfy franchise’s fourquel is supermodel Cheryl Tiegs, playing hero Fin’s “flower child” mother, Raye. David Hasselhoff in turn will reprise his role as Fin’s father Gil.
Syfy also announced that Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), Cody Linley (Hannah Montana), Imani Hakim (Everybody Hates Chris) and Masiela Lusha (George Lopez) have been cast as, respectively, tech titan Aston Reynolds, Fin and April’s grown son Matt, Matt’s Army pal Gabrielle, and Fin’s resourceful cousin Gemini.

Her character’s Twitter-dependent fate won’t be revealed until the July 31 premiere of Sharknado: The Fourth Awakens, but for now, Tara Reid is sitting pretty on the Syfy thriller’s just-released poster.
In keeping with its Star Wars theme, the film’s poster features Finn, April and their fellow shark slayers channeling their inner Lukes and Leias. (Or in the case of the flying cows, their inner banthas.)
Along with the poster, Syfy on Wednesday also released the full list of names making cameos in the two-hour film:
* Cynthia Bailey (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Robert Herjavec (Shark Tank), Kym Johnson (Dancing With the Stars), TV host Carrie Keagan, T’Keyah Crystal Keymah (That’s So Raven), Gena Lee Nolin (Sheena) and Alexandra Paul (Baywatch) will play various Astro-X rocket scientists and astrophysicists.
* Benjy Bronk (The Howard Stern Show) will play a morning show host.
* Duane Chapman (Dog the Bounty Hunter) will play a chainsaw dealer.
* Stacey Dash (Clueless, Fox News correspondent) will play the Mayor of Chicago.
* Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts will play the manager of the Shark World hotel.
* David Faustino (Married with Children) will play a Las Vegas gambler.
* Lori Greiner (Shark Tank) will play a home-shopping guru.
* MMA fighter Frank Mir will play the head of security for the Shark World hotel.
* Dr. Drew Pinsky (Loveline) will play a pastor.
* Patti Stanger (Millionaire Matchmaker) will play a reporter.
* Slipknot’s Corey Taylor will play a Shark World hotel security guard.
* Lastly, the following individuals will appear as themselves: Vince Neil of Motley Crue and Wayne Newton, along with Todd, Savannah and Grayson Chrisley (Chrisley Knows Best).

The NBCU network also revealed what it swears is the final wave of cameos for Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, this year’s installment of its annual orgy of excess that premieres at 8 PM ET on July 31. Among the names, Gilbert Gottfried has been typecast as a Today correspondent.

I thought the whole point of a cameo was that it's an unexpected appearance.

I am more excited about the string of original Syfy films that lead up to the premiere of this film...last year, or maybe the year before, it appears the powers that be decided to hold off on releasing Syfy originals throughout the year and just release a run of them leading into the latest Sharknado film. I miss watching an orginal Syfy film once every other month or so.
If someone chimes in and says they are still releasing originals every 30-60 days, well, I need to do a better job of paying attention to the channel listings.

Yeah I think this will be the last Sharknado movie I watch whether or not SyFy greenlights another movie.
The cheese factor was fun for a bit, but now as you said there seems to be no hype for this at all. Just feels tired & beyond stupid now.

Watched the opening and it's just tired.
The first was fun, the second was an event and now it's just done.

Just finished it. It was still fun but the story was scattered at times. If they want to make another, which by the ending it seems so, then they need to tighten it up a bit. These arent to be taken seriously, we know that, but dont keep pumping these out just because.
They certainly didnt hype it as much either. I damn near forgot about it had it not been for seeing all the Sharknado parading around SDCC.
I did enjoy all the easter eggs and I LOL'd here and there. I'll keep watching but they can do better. One way is getting rid of Tara Reid. She just plain sucks.

One of my guilty pleasures is a show called "Marriage Boot Camp", in which "Reality Show" couples are led through torturous relationship-building scenarios by a pair of very sincere and demanding therapists. There's usually one "star" that the drama circles around each season and this season it's Tara Reid. Tara comes off as a paranoid and angry diva with a drinking problem who'd rather be anywhere else. She's there with a boyfriend to work on their relationship, but he seems more like a stereotypical Gay BFF (I keep waiting for the shocking "reveal"). She must be doing this to pay the bills, but the show does her reputation no favors.

Kinda should have happened by this 4th one. This one just seems like it was rushed and they tried to squeeze as much as possible into it. Next one needs a slower pace.
