According to producers, Matt Ryan's appearance as Constantine was a one-off and he won't be returning.

Did Dharke kill Felicity's mom? Felicity seemed more heartbroken than Ollie here.

Still don't get why Barry would be there. I think it's Thea yet pray it's Laurel.

Barry is good friends with Felicity. He would be there for moral support.

I hope it's Laurel but I get the feeling Thea is likely in that grave. Her character has become superfluous with all the costumed heroes running around.
Does anyone have a clue where they are going with Diggle and his brother? Diggle pummels him and then starts playing cards with him.
The episode didn't sell us on the fact that Darhk's family wasn't evil before revealing his wife was in on it, undercutting the reveal.

I did like the one punch take out of the emo kid villain. Being that should be the outcome if a skinny kid in a hoodie gets blind side slugged by a large grown man.
other wise.. the show is really becoming such a downer to watch now. Pretty much zero fun and a whole lot of whine about everything, always. I'm fine with a slower moving plot or even a darker story line but this is now just a lot of people standing around bitching and moaning.
and of course Laurel was her normal horrible character in both actions and dialog this ep. I think they had her hit all the annoying buttons this ep. She of course lectured both Arrow and Thea, then went for the trifecta of yet another daddy vs daughter whine off.
that said, it's not Katie Cassidy fault they write her character to be the living embodiment of a hot girl you can't stand to be around.

maybe I missed it, but how does Laurel have that ability to screech again? is it tech? or did she somehow develop a superpower... I admit I only 1/2 watched last season.

Poor Felicity. Paralyzed. The EPs of the show already shot down the rumor that she would become "Oracle"
You guys go on and on on how much you despise Laurel. Honestly, she doesn't bother me as much as the rest of you. I get that when she became "Canary" after Sara's "death" she comes across more as a 3rd rate knockoff because she doesn't have the skills that Sara has. Her addiction phase when she was a raving bitch was back in season 2, so I get some of the hate may have come from that. But, I think we're beyond it now. Oh well, whatever.
Overall, good episode to kick off the 2nd half. I enjoyed John beating the shit out of his little brother. Looking forward to the big reveal in May.

I don't get why she'd be in the limo then. You could say it was too much for her to stand by the grave or something but the whole scene reads like someone who's more important to Oliver than to Felicity, yet somewhat important to Felicity. Having it be Felicity's mom is clunky.

Possibly the Felicity "reveal" was a decision that was made later (perhaps to get that idea off the table) and they were kind of stuck with the scene as they originally filmed it. You could always say that Felicity was at the grave a few minutes before (in whatever physical capacity she's at for the sequence) and Oliver went back for one dramatic reason or another.

I was totally lost on the flashbacks. They seemed completely disconnected from the rest of the episode.

I almost wonder if the flashbacks could be made into a 10 episode series so they could make sense of his entire past.

I'm not sure why they continue with the flashbacks. They haven't been entertaining since season two and now they are putting in little more than token continuity with them.

The only good one this season has been the one with Constantine, which was only relevant because it showed how they met.

They showed in the first episode of the season that Barry was actually late for the funeral and arrived after everyone had left. This was mostly done to keep people guessing of who had died. It seems that Ollie stayed a little longer in front of the tombstone to think stuff over and Barry was able to catch him before he left.
