RIP. Saw this earlier today. Had read in a magazine a few weeks back that he was suffering from demential and had little time left. Never noticed that he carried a pack of cigarettes like that when I watched it as a kid.
ODAAT was a great show back in the day. It ran for I believe nine seasons, but it's mostly forgotten now and has been rarely rerun on television for decades.

RIP Schneider
I caught One Day at a Time during the tail end of it's run and in repeats. He was a funny guy. Man, how time flies. 86!!
Sad that he and Bonnie Franklin are now gone. With all her drug and alcohol abuse in her younger years, you would have thought MacKenzie Phillips would have died 1st.

Watched ODAAT as a kid and remember finding Schneider hilarious.
Think about it: A lecherous middle-aged man who keeps making uninvited entrances into the apartment of a single woman and her two teenage daughters.
And people are freaked out about watching Cosby Show reruns!
