Nice to see JLC get a nod for Scream Queens.
I guess I need to check out Mr. Robot. I usually don't pay attention to any original shows on USA.

lol at the Lady Gaga nomination. Good to see Kirsten Dunst and Felicity Huffman in that category. I think Huffman will win. I'm happy for Eva Green's nomination.

Surprised for the recognition of Mr. Robot. Deserving, but surprised.
JLC for Scream Queens? What a joke. She is not even the best option on that show. And I'm sure there are far better noms that didn't happen on far better shows.
Fargo deserved more acting Noms.

I wasn't too surprised. Hollywood Foreign Press has given some love to past USA shows.

I liked JLC on Scream Queens. I do agree with you, she wasn't the best option for that show and there were actresses from better shows that deserved nominations. It's the same with Lily Tomlin and Grace and Frankie.

Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical
Rachel Bloom, Crazy Ex Girlfriend
^^ Don't know if this will happen, but I'm amazed how Rachel Bloom is able to play a character so unlikable and likable at the same time. That's my vote for sure!

Re: Golden Globe Nominees 2016 - TV Edition
Their rules state only that the show had to air "During the Qualifying Year in Prime Time", so it would be eligible by rule. Still, since the Nominations are out already, you have to wonder when the Voters had a chance to watch a show that launches that late in the year.

Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited Series or TV Movie
Maura Tierney, The Affair
REALLY?! Helen is a supporting role in the Affair? The one of two perspectives that almost always get half of the show every episode? Is this a case of having a better chance of getting a nod in a less crowded category? I'm glad she got a nod at least.

Don't worry, that show was comically over-honored by the Globes last year. If it got zero nominations this season, they would have nothing to complain about with the HFP.

Re: Golden Globe Nominees 2016 - TV Edition
I like how all the "TV Movie or Mini-Series" nominees are more or less regular TV series. They've warped that category to the point it's basically like a "Second Chance" option for TV shows that didn't get nominated for "Best Drama".

Basically anything that's a standalone season gets thrown in there.

I guess I should check out Outlander sooner rather than later.
As usual, disappointed but not surprised by the absence of The Americans.

I see it as a good thing personally, the Globes seem to intentionally set out to get people to watch new things.
