I've tried googling for this and just can't seem to pull any results.

I recall when I was younger seeing some movie where a guy is heating up the hook end of a wire hanger with a lighter and then digging at the back of his neck with it. Probably a horror movie but I just can't place it.

It might be The Thing. Truth be told I've never been a huge fan of that one and have seen it may be once or twice and not for a long time.

That TCM2 scene doesn't look familiar to me visually. Could be it though - I watched a lot of horror films when I was young.
