When and why was the C-word banned?
Just used it in an appropriate way and found that it is banned again. Were there actual complaints that made this happen, or did someone just get their panties caught in their ****?

About two years ago, I'm guessing. I just spell it kunt. Gets the point across.

Hi Dave,
While I can't specifically say WHEN it was banned, the reason is that it's highly offensive and misogynistic to some, particularly the United States. While it has more common usage in the UK and other Commonwealth territories, it can be viewed as a slur against women in the majority of the US.

Well, I say that we are just helping it stay super offensive by giving into such things. But for a 3rd post from an admin, I'll just go with it I suppose. Thanks.

While I personally have my own opinions on it, I would say a home video discussion/review board is probably not the scale of forum necessary to make that kind of cultural shift.

**** is not a slur. It is an ugly word, but when used appropriately, it is the best word available to accurately describe a particularly vile person. The word is overly used in situations that do not apply. ****s are rare in real life. Movies and tv are riddled them. A fictional example would be Sherry Palmer, President Palmer's wife on 24. A real life example would be a woman who conspires to have her husband murdered.
A lot of people are under the misconception that cuss words have synonyms. In most cases they do not.
Your car has a blowout and you slide into the ditch. You're screwed.
Your car has a blowout and you go over a cliff. You're fucked.
Two different words, with two different distinct meanings that best describe the situation at hand.

I swear a lot but that's one word I stay away from. It just seems a little too ugly for me. I'm also okay with those two words being banned. The chances of them being used in a non-derogatory fashion are pretty slim.
