Now this was an episode of a show I could get behind. Probably the most I've enjoyed this show since it started.
Cameron Monaghan is killing it as The Joker.

They should have had the young Joker simply going by "J". It's jarring every time I hear him called Jerome.
This episode definitely ups the ante. As crazy as this show has been in the past, I was expecting that bus to actually catch on fire with the cheerleaders melting to death. Why would anyone ever willingly join the Gotham City Police Department?
On a side note, everyone into Batman's villains should watch this video at least once. Trust me, it's worth it.

The episode's writer fed Lucius Fox some awful dialogue. Fox To Bruce: "I loved your father. I regret never telling him that." That is a whole new layer they are adding to the mythos of Batman. I understood what the lines were intended to convey but terrible phrasing by Gotham's staff.

I love this show. Canon destroyer or no, I think it is pretty unique on television. That was a lot of stuff to happen in one episode and I had no idea where this was going. The Joker is great and the bit with Lucius and Alfred was awesome. Brutal episode though and it was very cinematic.

This show is infinitely better now that they've dropped all the Fish bullshit.

Yeah, the guy playing Jerome is fucking awesome. I hope they make him into the Joker.

I like this supposed setup of the Joker, but at the same time, doesn't it bother anybody that he is basically doing a Nicholson impersonation? At least a couple of the line readings were exact copies. Not a bad thing if you liked (as I did) his take on the character. Seemed the guy playing Fox did the same thing with Freeman.
But I love it since I'm just happy they dumped the Fish/Mob shit and are getting to something that resembles the show I suspect most expected.

Loved this. It was insane and full of surprises. I just wish Riddler would get more screen time. Dude is awesome. And also surprised there was no Penguin. Very excited to see what happens next on this show. And man, Barbara is smoking hot!

If only there were such a thing as psych meds in Gotham, Batman would never have any problems...

The comment was about the many out there that feel his was the worst. Just Jack being Jack rather than actually playing a character. I always thought they had a good point despite the fact I still liked it. I doubt those people are OK with this guy doing his best Jack impersonation. I noticed a couple nods to Hamill/BTAS, but the vast majority seemed be to be Jack, Jack, Jack.
Makes me wonder if we'll get impersonation after impersonation as each character eventually becomes the familiar villain that has been done before. Even Penguin could end up morphing into something done before now that the Fish's lackey crap is over.
