The army is now killing everyone who posses any sort of risk.
A druggy being very easy to overdose and die.
A depressed man who might kill himself.
An old woman with a hurt foot.
Anyone outside the quarantine zone.
Doesn't matter if you're zombie or human, or even sick. You're dead.
The army is going around murdering everyone outside the fence.
Probably the most interesting episode of the series so far.
Junkie-boy still junkie-boy.

My decision to drop this show seems to already be paying dividends given the comments. It will be interesting to see how AMC retools this boring show in its second season.

I'm confused. I thought this show was going to be different than the other show because it was going to show you how the actual outbreak happened and how it was during that time. The interesting, and more selling point was that we'd see L.A. turn.
Sooooooo.. how is it that we already are 8-9 days into this thing and well past the point of, you know... showing us how it went to shit. The goddamn stupid "missing" fliers all over the wall just was an eye roll.
How about not skipping why people started putting them up and the chaos of the city.
Just feels like we're already past the premise of the show and are now just walking dead boring sub plot to save money in the budget.

I was a little confused. Why did Dr. Exner and the soldiers abduct Nick and make a big stink about it? Especially after decking him when he tried to run. I know they took Griselda because her foot is messed up and she needed surgery. Do they think he could be infected? I know in the previous scene he told her of his drug addiction and needing Methodone.
I didn't think the episode was as boring as some of you. They changed the dynamic a little incorporating the soldiers and creating a safe zone from the outside, which I thought was interesting.
I liked Madison smacking the shit out of Nick.

I still don't understand why everybody in this execrable family blames Travis for everything. What is he supposed to do, get himself killed? It wouldn't have stopped the soldiers from taking Nick and likely would have got other people shot in the process.

Agreed. The thing that made no sense was trying to break out of the fences to walk a couple of miles to find out why someone was signaling from a house outside the safe zone. Why risk your neck for that?
I'm usually on board with most episodes, but last night seemed like a snoozer to me.

The only reason I am sticking with this show is because its only 6 episodes, but I honestly was going to bail last night as that a terrible episode.

Taking bets, the nurse will somehow save the druggie when they get to the hospital. And his mom will be so grateful that she will forgive her for putting him in that position in the first place by telling the DR. about his drug problems in the first place.

I dropped after last week... that said, I'll continue to monitor these threads for the ensuing hilarity -- much like Under the Dome and Revolution.

Which is bound to happen as they have to move the story along, but what gets me is that shooting noise travels pretty easily. So skipping those 9 days just seems like we missed a lot of what we actually want to see and just got stuck with the boring shit of this one awful family and their cranky house guest.
Why didn't the soldiers, in those eight days, already take the mother away? They seemed pretty fast to move on anyone who could potentially be a risk.
What a fucking snooze fest.

Just awful in every way. LA has more than 7 million people and the streets are just empty after 9 days? What's going on around that fence?? No zombies coming up to it, no one trying to get in? Rick rides his horse into Atlanta and there's thousands of zombies everywhere.
Also its way way too early for a military leader to be acting like The Governor.
