British Comedy TV Shows

Hey guys. I'm from the U.S. But, have been really enjoying watching these British comedy tv shows lately. Below is a list of all the ones I have watched or still watching. Anyone know of any other good ones with some of the same actors? actresses, perhaps? Thank you.

The Inbetweeners, Friday Night Dinner, Plebs, Trollied, Chickens (short series), The Great Outdoors (short series), Rock & Chips (short series).

Look up Him & Her, Fresh Meat, Black's Books, and No Heroics.

Not sure if it has any actors from those shows you listed, but I found "The Thick of It" to be one of the funniest things I've seen in my life.

The short-lived Off The Hook was pretty good, with James Buckley from The Inbetweeners.

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret is good, with Blake Harrison, Sharon Horgan, and David Cross.

Todd is supposed to be making even more poor decisions sometime this year in season 3. I haven't heard a lot since it was picked up last year, but I think it is starting production fairly soon.

Re: British Comedy TV Shows

The UK Inbetweeners is my fav show ever ! I'm strongly on the pulse of UK tv so have some recommendations

Drifters is like a female inbetweeners and has a few actresses from the first inbetweeners feature film

Coming of Age is another juvenile crude comedy show

No Heroics only lasted one series but was cool

Lunch monkeys is worth checking out

Him and her has been mentioned

The Job lot also isn't too bad

BUT you must check out (if you haven't already done so) two classics of British sitcom comedy (and not into the old cheesy era) and they are Men Behaving badly from the 90s and Coupling (series 1 to 3 only, forget about series 4). Coupling is one of the best written sitcoms ever and Men Behaving badly is just amazing

No discussion of British comedy is complete without Fawlty Towers.

I like all your choices, except I haven't seen Drifters or No Heroics and I thought Coming of Age was one of the worst shows I've ever seen.

Re: British Comedy TV Shows

Fawlty Towers almost goes without saying, it's so iconic.

The IT Crowd is easily one of my favorite TV series ever from either side of the pond.

Spaced, just brilliant

Red Dwarf (2 more series are coming even after 25 years, crazy)

I don't usually care for raunchy comedies, but The Inbetweeners is so great. I think I like it because it isn't really a mean spirited show, even if it's crude.

I love Coupling too (even though I wish it came along a few years later so it wouldn't have a laugh track). I know season 4 doesn't hold a candle to the first 3 seasons, but I still think it's worth watching if you enjoy the first 3 seasons. Just have to adjust your expectations accordingly.

Coupling was great. Also to clarify it was filmed in front of a live audience and did not use a laugh track.

Completely agree with IT Crowd. Probably the most consistently funny show I have seen, and works with pretty much all ages. My teenage kids watched with their friends and they all raved about it.

Spaced is a comparatively little known gem for sure.

I have the first eight seasons of Red Dwarf on DVD but still haven't gotten around to watching it. It was a blind buy years ago but keeps getting pushed to the back of the stack.
